Our Annual Gala is a fund raising event which invites our Alumni and friends to contribute to our Alumni Scholarship Drive to provide scholarships to young scholars who reside in underserved areas of greater Los Angeles. For 96 years, Cathedral High School has served our young men from our inner city with spiritual guidance in accordance with our Catholic Faith and academic rigor to prepare students to serve our community, state and nation.

    On Saturday, August 3, plans are underway for the Return to Cathedral Gala and Big TEN raffle.  NBC4 Traffic Anchor Alysha Del Valle, NBC4 Southern California will kick off the evening at 6:00pm with Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles formally opening our cocktail reception with their rich cultural music. Enriching the medium as America’s first all female mariachi ensemble, Reyna de Los Angeles bring sensitivity, beauty, warmth and vivacious spirit to the historic art of mariachi. Established in 1994, the group had a strong beginning thanks to the mentorship of Lola Bertran, La Reina de La Musica Ranchera

  At 7:00pm our dinner will commence and Reynas will continue entertain until 8:00pm. At 8:00pm, our festive dance starts off with The Ace Band, ACE is celebrating it's 40th year of live musical entertainment. Voted by Los Angeles Magazine as LA's #1 "live" Dance Band in Southern California.  They have reigned as one of the most popular and hottest live performing dance bands from 
the "Streets of ELA".

   The winners of the Big Ten will be announced at 10:00pm and we will be finishing off the night under the stars with DJ music until 12:30am
