Mission Statement

Cathedral High School Alumni Association
Brother Leonard Casper embraced the teachings of the founder of the Christian Brothers Saint John Baptist de La Salle, by devoting his life as a teacher, principal, and counselor to the many students that crossed his path.

Brother Casper graduated from Cathedral in 1935 upon his return to his Alma Mater in 1962 he visualized organizing a group of graduates to carry on the traditions and spirit of Cathedral High School, thus, the Cathedral Alumni Association was inaugurated.

Today the Cathedral Alumni Association plays a major role is assisting the Christian Brothers with their mission at Cathedral of educating young men and preparing them to become active members in society.  The goal of the Alumni Association is to assist Cathedral financially by raising funds through special events for student financial aid assistance.

To organize the graduates of Cathedral into an Alumni Association and abide by it’s by-laws, the alumni association has been successful in fulfilling our mission at Cathedral High School.  With the support of Cathedral graduates along with their family and friends at our alumni fund raising events we are able to contribute to financial aid programs, the academic boosters, the athletics boosters, and the performing arts boosters.

The Cathedral Experience by Ruben Jaureguí, 1959 Graduate: “The Cathedral spirit is difficult to explain to non Phantoms. It’s not something you can touch: you can only feel it and know it in your heart that you are part of something very unique and special”.
